Biography

Marian was born May 3, 1854 and baptised July 2nd in Marsham, Norfolk, England. She is the daughter of David Elvin and Mary Cope.

In the 1881 Census, she was 26 years old, Head, single and a farmer of 112 acres employing 1 man and 1 boy in Enfield, Middlesex, England.^[1]

She married William John Green on December 3, 1896 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. She was 42 years old and her parents were listed as David Elvin and Mariana Cope. He was 52 and his parents were Benjamin Green and Rebecca Lipsitt.^[2]

A widow, she died at the age of 83 on August 17, 1937 in Kaslo, British Columbia, Canada and was buried in Kaslo Cemetery.^[3][4]
