Biography

Abigail English was born on November 12, 1724 in Lebanon, Connecticut.[1] She was the daughter of Richard English and Mary Hinksman.[2] She was baptized on November 15, 1724 in the northern section of Lebanon (now Columbia).[3] She married Capt. Eddy Newcomb about 1741 in Lebanon.[4] They had 9 children.

In March 1760,[5] the family, along with Eddy's parents and brother and their families, and Abigail's mother and siblings and their families, migrated as New England Planters to Cornwallis Township, Kings, Nova Scotia. As an original grantee, Eddy was granted 1000 acres of land on July 21, 1761.[6] Abigail died about 1790.
