District News. CURRABUBULA. (From our Correspondent.)
Diphtheria is very prevalent at Currabubula. A little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wililam English, expired on Monday in the Tamworth Hospital. The little girl was 6 years of age, and much sympathy is felt for the bereaved parents, who are well-known and highly respected residents of Currabubala. I am sorry to say that they have another daughter in the Tamworth Hospital. They are having a very unfortunate time of it, and it is to be hoped things will soon take a turn for the better.
I have also heard that a child of Mr. and Mrs. H. Costelloe, of Currabubula, was taken to the doctor suffering from diphtheria. It is not long ago that Mr. and Mrs. Costelloe burried a child that died from the same complaint. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved parents, and it is the wish of their many friends that their luck will soon change.
I have heard of other children that are sick, but I do not know whether it is diphtheria or not. It is to be hoped that sickness will soon leave our little township.
