Biography
Iver was a priest and chaplain ("kappelan") in Norddalen from 1586. Before then he was a priest to Nordland. According to 'Norske Slægter' of 1915 he was the son of an Erik Iversen, citizen of Trondheim, who was the son of Ivar Johannesen Flag of Sunnmøre.
Iver's wife is supposed to have been named Marte. They had these children:
- Peder Iversen (d. 1633), parish priest of Volden.
- Erik Iversen Nordal, parish priest of Leikanger and prost of Sogn.
- Gertrud Iversdatter, married to Rasmus Povelsen Brandal, parish priest of Ulstein.
