Biography

"John Frederick Ernst (1748-1805), served as adjutant in Col. Henry Spycker's regiment, Berks county militia, 1777. He was in active service after the evacuation of Philadelphia by the British. He was born in Strasburg, Germany and died in Manheim, Pa."[1]
