Biography

Wolcott presents Rhuddfedel Frych (250) ap Cadeyrn (220) ap Gwrtheyrn ap Rydeyrn (185) in a discussion of Rhuddfedel's descendant Cadel Ddyrnllwg. [1]

Wolcott notes that Rhuddfedel Frych appears in a group of early pedigrees [2]

Using Wolcott's standard estimation of 30 years per generation, Rhuddfedel Frych woulc have been born in, say, 250.

In the pedigrees referenced by Wolcott, Rhuddfedel Frych is the father of Brydw. Wolcott suggests that Rhuddfedel is also likely the father of Gloyw Gwallt Hir, but notes that "no ancestor of Vortigern earliewr than Gloyw Gwallt Hir is cited by any credible source." Nevertheless, Wolcott suggests that "Gloyw occurs in a cousin line of Cadell." [1]

Biography error.... Historia Brittonum, section 49, in its current available form as linked, does not go back past Gloui (Gloyw Gwaillt Hir).

http://www.historyfiles.co.uk/KingListsBritain/CymruPowys.htm, though interesting, is akin to ancestry.com, a user contributed list with no sourcing listed. and for this specific line, from Gloui back, they are highlighted, with no explanation, leaving us to guess, they are guessing.

Just my observations, as I am working on welsh families as well.
