Colonel Gyles Eyre of Eyrecourt Castle (bp. 19 Jul 1766), was the eldest son of Richard Eyre and Anchoretta Eyre. He succeeded his uncle, Lord Eyre.
"Lord Eyre d[ied] 30 September, 1781, when the title became EXTINCT. His estates devolved on his nephew, GILES EYRE, Esq., colonel of the Galway militia, who d. in 1829"
This Giles Eyre is mentioned in Dorothea Herbert's book and is no doubt related to Richard Eyre however the exact relationship is unclear.
