This profile is part of the Eyre Name Study.
Thomas Eyre, esq. of Rowter (d. 1719), was the younger son and eventual heir of Roger Eyre of Rowter (b. abt. 1581). He was alive when the 1662 Visitation of Derbyshire was made, and is the last of his line.[1]
Thomas left the Rowter estate to Henry (b. 1693), second son of Gervase Eyre of Rampton, co. Notts. (d. 1704), and Catherine Cooke (d. 1704). Henry was sheriff of Derby in 1723.
