Biography
"Rev, David Fackler, eldest son of Abraham Wendel Fackler, married his first cousin Elizabeth Fackler, daughter of Wendel who was the son of Johann Wendel."
From J.W. Fackler email 23 April 2007:
"I can only quote from the Rank Families Genealogical Register compiled by John H. Ronk, 1998. It shows that David Fackler, b. 16 Oct 1807 (son of Abraham Wendel, son of Wendel Henry Fackler and Anna Christina) did marry Elizabeth Fackler, b. 19 April 1811 (daughter Wendell Henry Fackler, b. 22 April 1782 and Sarah Elizabeth Stauffer, b. 1 Feb 1790). David and Elizabeth's marriage is shown as taken place 12 Feb 1832. It is interesting to note that she had a second husband, Samuel Fackler (son of Abraham Wendel Fackler and Barbara Hoach). Marriage to Samuel is shown as 9 Oct 1877. She died 21 Aug 1878. Buried in Oakland Cemetery, Solon, IA." [1]
