Biography
A memoir by niece Martha Low Fort in Memoirs of the Fort and Fannin Families says that James W. Fannin was the son ofson of James Fannin and Elizabeth Saffold. A family listing in that book says he was born on 5 September 1782 and married Ann P. Fletcher on 11 February 1817.[1]
