Biography

Five of the siblings (Frederick, Mary Matilda, Margaret Jane, George W, Hannah Alzina) were all baptised in the Methodist Church on the same date -- 24 Feb 1854:

According to W.F. Brooks in History of the Fanning Family (Vol.2, p.513), Mary Matilda married twice: 1) in 1856 to William Henry Bonter (issue: one son), and then after Bonter's death in 1863 she married 2) in 1869 to James Panton Hopkins of Dorset, England (issue: 1 daughter and 2 sons) and they moved to Little Rock, Arkansas.
