John Duncan married Helen Farmer irregularly in Edinburgh. They were admonished before the congregation at Gladsmuir on 13th February 1774. The minister rebuked them and declared them married persons and exhorted them to live as such.[2]
Their marriage was recorded in the register on 30th January 1774.[3]
