Patrick was baptized 8 June 1858 at Drumragh R.C. chapel. He was the son of Patrick Farnan and Mary Rafferty of Beagh. The sponsors were Thomas Farnan and Catherine Farnan. [1]

On 26 October 1883 at Omagh R.C. chapel, he married Mary Anne Farnan, a barmaid of Castle St, Omagh; daughter of John Farnan, publican. Witnessed by John Fernand (sic) and Agnes Fernand. [2]

They moved to Montreal, Canada; and had 8 children by 1901.

He passed away 26 December 1913 and was buried at the parish cemetery for Basilique Notre-Dame, which would have been Notre-Dame-des-Neiges at this time. [3]
