Burton was born on 4 Sep 1887 in Jonesport, Washington County, Maine, United States. He is the eighth of nine children born to Alonzo Farnsworth and Elmira A. White. ^[1]

Burton Farnsworth married Cora Alberta Smith on 20 Jul 1910. The couple are the parents of twelve children. On 5 Jun 1917, Burton signed up for the WWI draft as required by law. ^[2] At this time, there is no additional information regarding his service to his country.

Burton owned his own boat as an adult which was used to conduct his trade as a fisherman. Burton Farnsworth...

Burton Edgar Farnsworth, Sr. passed away on 17 Jun 1956 in Bass Harbor, Hancock, Maine. He was buried at Bayview Cemetery in his hometown of Jonesport, Maine. His remains were interred in Plot: Sect 01, Row 09, Lot 02, Grave 02. ^[3]
