Biography

John Farquharson was born on 10 October 1839 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, the son of Mary Farquharson and William Farquharson.^[1]

John, 14, emigrated to Australia with his parents and siblings on the "Boomerang" in 1854.^[2]

He married Victoria Bradbury Leake in 1879 in Victoria, Australia.^[3] Their daughter was:^{[citation needed]}

John died on 10 January 1896 in Victoria, aged 56 years.^[4]
