Research Notes

A. On the 2 separate marriage records: Is it possible that Vermont did not accept marriage records from other states (or Salmon didn't have a written marriage record) and that it was easier to "get married again" than try to prove your marriage? I'm seeing this in my research into families (Farrs, and Stetsons) who moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire, and Vermont. Lamberton-139 17:39, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
B. Not sure why these children were recorded as born in both Leicester and somewhere else, but these are transcription cards based on town records that were very fragile. Lamberton-139 17:39, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
