Biography

This Daniel Farrington was born in 17 Aug 1764 at Lynn, Massachusetts, the fourth child of Abigail (Breed) & Daniel Farrington^[1].

He married first, Sally Stocker [b. 12 Aug 1769, daughter of Susanna (Newhall) & Thomas Stocker; d. 25 Oct 1805]. They married at Lynn, 23 Nov 1793, officiated by Mr. Roby ^[2]. Per this record, their children were:

1. Lydia Farrington, b. 23 Oct 1794
2. Daniel Farrington, b. 3 Nov 1796
3. Sally Farrington, b. 13 Aug 1798
4. Samuel Farrington (1801-1869)
5. Martha (Farrington; 1803-1834)
6. Asa Farrington, b. 20 Oct 1805

Daniel Farrington's first wife died 25 Oct 1805. Henceforth he married second, on 13 Jul 1806 Mrs. Sarah (Breed; 1773-abt.1841) ^[3], widow of John Massey [b. 19 Jul 1773, daughter of Susanna (Mansfield) & Ephraim Breed, Esq.]. Children of this second marriage (for both) are documented ^[4]:

• Abigail Farrington (1810-1884)

Daniel Farrington died 12 Feb 1820. His remains were buried at New Light Cemetery, Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA ^[5].

Notes

There was a Daniel Farrington (abt.1766-1813), born in Lynn, who married Rachel Ward. He migrated to Newburgh, New York, and is represented to have died there in 1813. As currently profiled, the two Daniel Farringtons have different life courses. Future investigation and reference sourcing should consider both individuals.
