Alforetta Ann Farwell was born on 11 May 1874 in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine.1 Alforetta Ann Farwell married Delmer Ellery Edwards, son of General Clark Swett Edwards and Maria Antoinette Mason, on 14 June 1893 in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine.1 The census of 1900 shows: Delmer E. Edwards, 32, flour-mill owner; and Alforetta A. Edwards, wife, 26; listed with Adelaide G. Edwards living at Maine Street, Fort Fairfield, Aroostook County, Maine. Also in the household was a servant, Beulah S. Simmons, 20.2
The census of 1910 shows: Alforetta N. Edwards, 34, employed at grist mills; and Adelaide G. Edwards, 15, attending school; living at 62 Glenwood Avenue, Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. They were living in the home of Alforetta's brother in law, John M. Brock, 46, saleman at a men's clothing store, along with his wife and son.3
The census of 1920 shows: Alforetta Edwards, 44; and Adlaide Edwards, daughter, 24; living at State Street, Portland, Cumberland County, Maine.4
As of June 1933, Alforetta Ann Farwell lived at Portland, Cumberland County, Maine.1
