Biography

"On June 3rd 1901 at All Saints, Petersham, by the Rev. R. E. Goddard, B.A. Joseph Painter, Enmore to Emily, fourth daughter of Mr James Fay, Enmore."

"Changed his religion from Roman Catholic when a priest pushed him off a footpath. In 1855 was a stonemason at 22 Exeter Place, Sydney. In 1883 was licensee of the 'Mansion House' Hotel, 701 George Street, Sydney. In 1896 was licensee of 'Frankfort Park Hotel', King Street, Newtown.[1]

Probate Jurisdiction Notice for his wife dated 18-10-1905 states his full name to be James Joseph Fay.
