Rita was born in 1923. She was the daughter of Frank Feiner and Amelia Gruber. She passed away in 2010.
Rita, age 87, of Plain, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born to Frank & Amelia (Gruber) Feiner. Rita married Norbert Bauer on Oct. 19, 1948, and had lived on the farm since their marriage. Norbert preceded her in death just 69 days ago on Nov. 27, 2009. Rita was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and the NCCW. Mom will be remembered for the many acts of kindness that she showed to all those around her. The work of her hands showed in all the quilts that she made and afghans that she crocheted and donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Mom loved her flowers and raised a garden each year. Mom, we will miss you so much, you have taught us so many things. All those memories will help to support us until we can all meet again. We love you. She is survived by her loving children, Audrey (Jim) Blau, Eileen (Gary) Hasheider, Neil (Jean) Bauer, Glen (Theresa) Bauer and Dale Bauer; grandchildren, Sheila (Eric) Williams, Sara (Troy) Anderson, Ray (Heather) Hasheider, Rachel (Brandon Laboets), Ross Hasheider, Corey, Stacey, Emily, Josh, Christopher and Lucas Bauer; great-grandchildren, Zach and Anne Williams, Blake and Ashley Anderson, Gavin, Owen and Carson Hasheider; brothers, Francis (Delores), Cyril (Lorraine), Valentine (Barb), Dick and Stanley Feiner; sisters, Dorothy Brickl, Virginia Altenbach, Sr. Pauline Feiner and Gerry (Jim) Frank; sister-in-law, Marie Bauer; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is further survived by a very special and dear friend, Marcy Stauffacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Norbert; grandson, Todd Blau; her parents; a sister, Caroline Guttman; brother, Ralph Feiner; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain with Father Bill Nolan officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital for the loving care that was given to Mom. "If roses grew in Heaven, Lord, please pick a bunch for us, Place them in our Mother's arms, and tell her they are from us. Tell her that we love and Miss her and when she turns to smile - Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile. Remembering Mom is easy, we do it every day. But there is an ache within our hearts that will never go away." Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home Spring Green assisted with arrangements.
