Wordworth, age 13, female, white, at home, born Illinois, in school; Charles McKay, age 24, male, white, works on farm, born Illinois, can't read or write, male citizen of the USA. ( next door is Luke and Maria Fielder)

This seventeenth day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and thirty one. A. Williams, Clerk. State of Illinois, Vermilion County, SS -- I hereby certify, that on the 20th day of October A.D. 1837, I joined in the holy state of Matrimony, Charles Fielder and Louisa McKay according to the usual custom and the laws of the state of Illinois. Dated this fourteenth day of February A.D. 1877. Archie McGowen, Rosalie McGowen. State of Illinois, Knox County: I, Anson Baldwin a Notary Public inaforesaid county in the State aforesaid do hereby certify that Archie McGowen and Rosalie McGowen his wife personally known to me to be these same persons what name are subscribed to the foregoing instrument appeared before me this day in person and acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the said instrument as their free and voluntary act for thie uses and purposes therein set forth including the release of the right of Homestead. Singleton of the County of Fulton and State of Illinois the following described Real Estate. The south west quarter of the south east quarter of Section Twenty seven (27) in Township one (1) South of Range Four (4) east in the district of lands subject to sale at Junction City Kansas on the 20th day of April 1866 containing Forty acres. Situated in the County of Washington in the State of Kansas hereby releasing and waiving all rights under and by virtue of the Homestead Exemption laws of this state. Dated this 22nd day of February AD 1877. Charles Fielder. State of Illinois, Knox County: I, Anson Baldwin a Notary Public in and for the said County in the State aforesaid do hereby certify that Charles Fielder personally know to me to be the same person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument appeared before me this day in person and acknowledged that he signed, sealed and delivered the said instrument as his free and voluntary act for the uses and purposes herein set forth including the release and waiver of the Homestead right. Fielder of County of Washington, and State of Kansas. of the first part and William T Singleton of Washington County and State of Kansas of the second part: Witnesseth, that the said part of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do these presents Grant, Bargain, Sell, Remise, Release, Alien, Convey and Confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, all of the following described tract piece, and parcel of land, lying and situate in the County of Washington and State of Kansas to-wit: The north West quarter of the South East quarter of Section Twenty seven (27) in Township One (1) South of Range Four (4) East in the District of Lands subject to sale at Junction City Kansas on the 20th day of April 1866 containing Forty acres more or less.
