Biography

Eliza was born in England in 1831. She is the first born child of John Finch and Eliza Cutler. She was christened in Pentonville Claremont Independent Church in Clerkenwell on Apr 08 1832.

She was with them on board the Robert Henderson. She was 18 at the time of their voyage.

At the age of 25 she married Frederick Thomas who was the first man to run sheep at Sandy Creek.

Together they had 8 children (4 sons and 4 daughters). The sons followed in their fathers footsteps and become farmers.
