Silas was born in 1810. He was the son of Philetus Finch and Elizabeth Paddock. He passed away in 1887.
Burial in July, 1887 at the Lent Cemetery, Cohocton, Steuben County, New York.
"Silas Finch, many years a resident of this place, died last Monday, at his brother's house and was interred at the Lent Hill cemetry." (Neopolitan Record, Wednesday, 6 July 1887)
