Biography

Silas Fish, born 29 Aug 1767 at Stonington, Connecticut, was the sixth child of Catherine (Helme) Fish (1737-1818), the second wife of Nathan Fish Jr. (1727-1822).

Per Fish Family in America page 314:

1888 SILAS7 FISH (Nathan6, Nathan5, Samuel4, John3, Alice2, John1), carpenter, son of (1876) Nathan and Catherine (Helme) Fish, was b. Aug. 29, 1767, and d. June 15, 1835, at Bridgewater, Ithaca, N. Y. Was a member of the Presbyterian and later the Congregational Church. He m. Cynthia Bliss of West Springfield, Mass., Mar. 17, 1795.
