Biography

European Aristocracy
John FitzMaurice was a member of the aristocracy in England.

John Petty,[1] Earl of Shelburne was born in 1706 as Hon. John FitzMaurice, the 5th and youngest, but 2nd surviving son of Thomas FitzMaurice, 1st Earl of Kerry and his wife, Anne Petty, only daughter of Sir William Petty and his wife, Elizabeth Waller, Baroness Shelburne.

He was described as " second son of the Right Hon. Thomas, Earl of Kerry, Ireland" when he was admitted to Middle Temple on 11th January 1728.[2]
