Biography

Charles was born in 1872 (registered in Jan 1873) to Robert William Fitzgibbon (a walking stick dresser) and Elizabeth (Calderwood) Fitzgibbon^[1][2]. He was baptised on 5 March 1875 in St Mary, Hoxton, Hackney, England.^[2]

In the 1881 census Charles (age 8) was the son of Robert William Fitzgibbon at 43 Custance St, Shoreditch, London, England.^[3]

In the 1891 census Charles (age 18; paper stainer) was the son of Robert W Fitzgibbons (walking stick dresser) in Shoreditch, London, England.^[4]

Charles married Clara Cook on 14 July 1895 in St Andrew, Hoxton, Hackney, England.^[5].

In the 1901 census Charles (age 28; engineers machinist) was living with Clara and their 3 children (Charles, Maria and William) in Shoreditch, London, England.^[6]
