Paul E. Flick, age 86, of Bloomsburg died on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family and under the care of Geisinger-Columbia Montour Hospice. Paul had been a resident of his home in Bloomsburg for over 56 years.

Paul was born on Monday, Oct. 13, 1930, in Almedia, a son of the late Henry G. and Alice (Faux) Flick. Throughout his younger years, Paul attended area schools and later graduated from the former Scott High School in 1948.

Paul faithfully served his country in the United States Coast Guard, where he was a diesel mechanic and was honorably discharged on Jan. 11, 1954.

For over 32 years, Paul was a business owner and a well-known local electrician. He was co???owner and operator of Flick Brothers Electric until his retirement in 1985.

Paul was a member of the Bloomsburg Baptist Church of Espy. He was also a member of the Bloomsburg American Legion; Bloomsburg Elks Lodge No. 436 B.P.O.E.; Bloomsburg Moose L.O.O.M No. 623; Washington Lodge No. 265 F&AM; Caldwell Consistory, and the National Rifle Association.

Paul was well known as a director of the Bloomsburg Fair, where he served as Superintendent of Horse Racing for many years. He enjoyed hunting and was active with Pheasants Forever.

On May 16, 1998, Paul married his loving wife, Delores L. Walter.

In addition to his parents, Paul was also preceded by his first wife, Patricia C. (Long) Flick, on Sept. 19, 1990; and by three siblings: Betty B. Flick, Donald G. Flick and Henry N. Flick.

Survivors include his wife, Delores L. (Walter) Flick of Bloomsburg; children: Kathy J. Sausser of Montoursville; Betsy K. (Stanley Stambaugh) Flick of New Cumberland; Paula M. (Joel) Novak of Nescopeck; Connie (John) Seybert of Montverde, Fla., and John H. (Janet) Flick of Bloomsburg; 10 grandchildren; stepchildren: Stephanie (Neil Patel) Trump of Haymarket, Va., and Darren G. Trump of Catawissa.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home Inc., with his pastor, the Rev. Craig D. Laidacker, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg.
