Levi was born in Ohio in 1829 to Daniel and Mary Flohr.[1][2][3][4] He was listed as a minor son of Daniel in his probate papers (See note). In 1850, he was living with his brother and his brother's family.[1] Levi married Elizabeth Schroll in Wabash County, Indiana in 1853.[5] They raised a family of 10 children.[2][3][4] Levi worked as a farmer.[2][3][4] Levi died in 1900 and was buried in South Pleasant Cemetery in Wabash County, Indiana.[6]

Daniel Flohr died without making a will. The probate papers dated March 21, 1850 list his survivors as follows: Mary, widow of D. Floor, Daniel Floor, Jacob and Carolina Seitner, Jesse Floor, Jacob and Rebecca Shellanbarger, Solomon Floor, Jacob Floor, Jacob and Elizabeth May, and Levi Floor (a minor).
