Biography

Charles Gaston Flowers was born on June 23, 1868, in Pike, Alabama to parents John and Temperance Flowers, who were both 37 years old at the time. He married Anna Bell Roberts on December 9, 1889, in Coffee, Alabama when he was 21 years old. The couple had eight children during their marriage: Lola F, Georgia, Gilland, William Leland, John Gary, Irma, Richard Harvey and Charles Wesley. Charles lived in various places throughout his life including Grimes and Searcy in Alabama and Smith in Arkansas. He passed away on July 15, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 76 and was buried in Wynne, Arkansas.
