In 1881, it appears he lives in North Easthope, Perth, Ontario with his mother Catherine and, her new husband named John Bauer plus younger (half?) siblings.

He lived in Toronto, Canada before emigrating to the United States in 1892.
In 1900, he was briefly married to Winifred Emaline Douglass. In the March 1901 census, he is found in Toronto but reported as single.

Within a couple years, he married Sarah Alberta Dutterer of Midway, West Virginia. Their daughter Virginia was born in December 1903.

The family lived in Mahattan and Brooklyn in 1905

respectively.
From 1917 through at least 1930 they lived in Pittsburgh.

He passed away in 1951 in North Harmony, New York. He was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville, New York.
