Note: Because of a great deal of similar names, as well as multiple intermarriages in the Libby family tree, Charles Libby, author of The Libby Family in America devised a numbering system from the Immigrant. The immigrant on WikiTree is John Libby. Each child is numbered in order, so Hannah Libby is Child 9 (or Libby 9). Each of her children is numbered in order (9-1, 9-2, 9-3) etc.

Seth Fogg is Libby 9-8

Seth Fogg was born in Kittery (now Eliot, Maine) in December 1701.

He married Mary Pickernale on 28 November 1727, and they settled on Scottow's Hill in Scarborough, Maine. Their children were:

1. Seth, born 1730; married Ruth Waterhouse
2. Timothy, born 19 June 1732; married Abigail Hanscom
3. Lydia, born 5 Apr 1734; married Isaiah Foster
4. James, born 8 Apr 1736; married Molly Scammon
5. Mary, born 11 Oct 1738; married Ezekiel Foster
6. Hannah, born 24 May 1741; married Elisha Meserve
7. Benning, born 27 June 1744; died young

Seth passed away on 18 October 1748.
