Mrs. Florence Belle Little, 89, died at 4:00 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Joiner Nursing Home where she had been a patient the past four years.
Mrs. Little was born Oct. 2, 1872 in Carlinville, a daughter of Eugene and Nancy Neper Fones. She was married August 31, 1885 to James A. Little of Carlinville, and most of their married life was spent in this city. Surviving are five daughters and three sons, namely, Lenora Mathis, Silvis; Beatrice Gullo, of Lake Worth, Florida; Lucille Rhoads, of Plainview; Margaret Cosgrif and Selma Morgan, both of Carlinville; Ralph, of Kokomo, Indiana; Jess, of Muldelein, and Dewy G., of Carlinville. There are 38 grandchildren; 58 greatgrandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Wiese funeral home. Rev. H.C. Rhoads officiated. Miss Mellnotte Sanders was organist. The songs were "Beyond the Sunset," and "Old Rugged Cross."
