Emily Milton Foreman was born on March 31, 1836, her father, Robert, was 24, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 25. She married James Herbert Stewart on October 8, 1853, in Stanley, New Brunswick, Canada. They had 12 children in 26 years. She died in 1906 in Stanley, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 70.
