Susannah Forman was born circa 1665, in Oyster Bay, New York Colony, a daughter of Samuel Forman and Miriam Hoyt, married March 25, 1662, in Fairfield, Hartford, Connecticut. ^[1]

Before 1685, in Oyster Bay, Susanna married Daniel Townsend, a son of born circa 1663, in Oyster Bay, Nassau, New York, the youngest child of John Townsend and Elizabeth Montgomery. Susannah and Daniel became the parents of two children:

• Daniel Townsend, Jr., born circa 1685, father of Elihu, James, Isaac and Charles

• Robert Townsend, born circa 1689, married Judith Birdsall before 1711, father of Benjamin, Robert, Jr. and Daniel
