Penelope Ellen was born on March 29, 1866 in Missouri to Valentine Forshee and Lettie Rice.[1]
In 1870, Penelope E, age 4, was one of four children in the home of Valentine and Lydia Forshee. The family was farming at Osage in Concord Township, Missouri.[2]
In 1900 Penelope and Frank Bone were living in a rented home in Perry Township where Frank was a blacksmith. Census indicates they were married in 1884 and 5 of 6 children were still living.[3]
In 1910 the family was living in Randolph, Missouri. Frank and the two elder sons were working in the lead mines. Ellen and Frank had 6 children living at home.[4]
In 1920 Frank and Ellen were farming at Breton, Missouri. Children Arthur (15) and Gladys (11) were still living at home.[5] They remained in Breton and in 1930 their grandson, Elmer, was living with them.[6]
Ellen died July 11, 1938 in Bonne Terre Hospital. She was married to Frank Bone and living in Hopewell. The informant was Frank Bone of Mineral Point, Missouri.[1] She was buried in Hopewell Cemetery.[7]
