Biography
Marie Angelique was born 17 Apr 1785. She was the daughter of Ignace François Fortin and his wife Marie Elisabeth Thibault. She was baptized the same day in L'Islet-sur-Mer, godparents were Michel Cloutier and Ursule Fortin, no signatures. [1]
On 16 Jan 1810, in L'Islet-sur-Mer, Joseph Hilaire Gamache adult son of Nicolas Gamache and Marie Josette Morin married Marie Angelique Fortin adult daughter of Ignace François Fortin and Marie Élisabeth Thibau. Witnesses included the bride's father, the groom's uncle (and probably godfather) Julien Gamache and several other named relatives, no signatures. [2]
Marie Angélique Fortin, 40 year old wife of Hilaire Gamache died 26 Nov 1837. She was buried 2 days later in L'Islet-sur-Mer. [3]
