Biography
Hester was born about 1823. She was the daughter of Henry Fortney and Nancy Pyles. She passed away about 1857.
Research Notes
Hester’s birth as about 1823 is an educated guess based on her or her sister Harriet being the female 5-10 in Henry’s household in the 1830 census of Preston County. Besides Henry the only male in the household in 1830 was 10-15 and was probably Daniel M.
