Biography

Henry Oscar Foss was born on 26 July 1894 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, United States, son of Hans Oscar Foss and Caroline Walden.[1]

His siblings were:

Henry and Mary Florence (MacCallum) Foss were married. Florence was born on 18 April 1897 in Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was the daughter of Laughlin MacCallum and Mary Jane (Court) MacCallum. Their known son was Donald Foss (18 March 1932 – 14 May 2012).

In the 1895 census Henry (age 1) was in Mounds View, Ramsey, Minnesota, United States living with his parents, Hans and Caroline, and 7 siblings: Irena (16), Olaf(15), Sena (14), Olga (12), Emma (10), Annie (4), and Minni (2).[1]

In the 1900 census Henry (age 6) was the son of Hans Foss in Mounds View Township New Brighton village, Ramsey, Minnesota, United States, living with his parents Hans and Caroline and five siblings: Irena (23), Olaf (21), Olga (18), Emma (17), and Anna (10). Born July 1894, Minnesota. The home was owned free of mortgage on a farm. [2]

In the 1910 census Henry (age 15) was the single son of Hans O Foss in Mounds View, Ramsey, Minnesota, United States, living with his parents, Hans and Caroline, sister Anna (19) and his parents' grandson Clifford (8). All spoke English and could read and write. Farm home owned free of mortgage. [3]

Henry's son Earl Henry Foss was born.[4]

In the 1920 census Henry (age 25) was the married head of household in Mounds View, Ramsey, Minnesota, United States, living with his wife Florence and his two sons: Earl (2) and Erwin (1) in a rented home.[5]

In the 1930 census Henry (age 33) was the married head of household in Mounds View, Ramsey, Minnesota, United States living with his wife Florence and three children: Earl (12), Ray (11), and Mildred (6) in a rented farm home. He was employed as a farmer and was not a war veteran. He was 21 at his first marriage.[6]

Henry, son of Hans Foss & Caroline, died (age 42) on 25 October 1936 in New Ulm, Brown, Minnesota, United States.[7][8][9]

Henry's son Earl Henry Foss died 31 March 1995.[10]

Henry was mentioned in the obituary of his son Donald K Foss on 16 May 2012 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.[11]
