Familysearch.org shows this Ebenezer Foster as the son of John Foster Jr (Foster-808) and Mary Stuard (Stuard-4),instead of John Foster Sr and Mary/Martha Tompkins. That also fits better with the birth years: 1616 > 1647 > 1677, instead of 1616 > 1617.
