Alvin was born in 1905, the son of Edgar Fox and Mae Boshaw.[1][2] He married Ida M. Cummings (1905-1985) in West Branch, Michigan on December 2, 1924.[3] Their children included:

Nancy Jean (1835-2000)
He and Ida, and their oldest son, lived with his parents; Alvin worked on the family farm in Rose Township.[4] He worked at the Dodge plant in Ogemaw County, Michigan.[5] He and Ida divorced in 1946.[6] He remarried, marrying Betty Ruth Newcombe (1923-1995) in Grand Rapids on the same day his divorce decree was final, on April 1, 1946. They had one child together, Denise Marie (1950-1950), who died at birth.[7] He passed away at the age of 52, in 1957, residing in Saginaw County, Michigan, and is buried at Saint Paul's Episcopal Mission Cemetery in Taymouth.[8]
