Damon Franklin was born about 1829 in New York to Daniel Franklin and Clarissa McKnight, originally from Massachusetts.^[1][2][3]

He married wife Emily J. Rice^[4][3][2][1] and had the following known children:

1. Wallace J.^[2] Franklin was born in New York about 1858.^[3]
2. Judson D. Franklin was born about 1865 in New York.^[1][2]
3. Clara (Cora/Carrie) A. Franklin was born about 1870 and died 08 Oct 1925 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.^[4][1][2]
4. Mina M. Franklin was born about 1876 in New York.^[1]

In 1860, 1870 and 1880 Daniel is living in Madrid, St. Lawrence County, New York and his parents are living with him.^[3][2][1]
