Biography

Martha Franks was born on 4 April 1853 in Minden, Claiiborn Parish, Louisisana. She moved with her parents to Three Creeks, Union County Arkansas sometime before 1860 and on to Coryell County by 1870. On 5 Oct 1874 she married George William Logan. Of their ten children, six were born in Gatesville, Coryell County Texas, one was born in Crockett County, Texas, and three were born in Bear Creek, Kimble County, Texas. As if 1930 she and here husband George were living with their son Joe F. Logan on his ranch in Sutton County, Texas. She died there at age 93 on 19 September 1946.
