Biography

John Fraser was married to a Miss Chisholm and had the following family:

  • ALEX married to a daughter of Archie MacDonald (Donn), of Caledonia Mills (two of their children were William, out west, and John).
  • Rory, brother of Alex, was married to Miss MacDonald, and had issue: Roderick, a doctor of medicine; William, Sarah married to Lauchlin MacMillan; Margaret married.
  • Rev. James Fraser, parish priest of Georgeville, Lakevale, and at St. Andrew's, where he died, was the son of John Fraser, pioneer.
  • John, brother of Father James Fraser, was a doctor of medicine in New York, was married, and had a family.
  • Donald, brother of Father James Fraser, was married to Mary MacDonald, and for issue had amongst others, John and James, and a daughter married to Mr. Macintosh.
  • William, a brother of Father James Fraser, died young.

The sisters of this priest were:

  • Ellen married to Alex MacDonald, Big Archie's son;
  • Isabel married to William MacDonald (Donn), Caledonia;
  • Mary married to Archie Chisholm, Ashdale;
  • another sister was married to Mr. Maclsaac, of Cape George.
