John Newton Frazier was born 4 November 1836, twin brother of Andrew Jackson Frazier, in Tennessee to Martin Gaines Frazier and his wife, Martha. John Newton and Andrew Jackson are the twin sons of Martin Gaines Frazier. John Newton married isabella Woods on 7 Jun 1860 in DeWitt County, Texas. [1] John and his wife, Isabella, were neighbors to Isabella Woods and Gonzalvo Woods, his mother-in-law and uncle-in-law in the 1860 census. [2] His brother, Jackson, ended up marrying Gonzalvo's daughter, Minerva Jane.
