Susan D. Frazier was born on October 14, 1842, in Graves County, Kentucky, to Warner H L Frazier and Sarah (Odom) Frazier. Her early years were spent in District 5 of Barry County, Missouri, as recorded in the 1850 census.
By 1870, Susan had relocated to Rich Woods in Prairie County, Arkansas, where she likely established herself within the community.
On January 1, 1871, Susan married James Jasper Newton in Prairie County, Arkansas, marking the beginning of their life together.
Subsequently, Susan and James settled in Pettus Township, Lonoke County, Arkansas, as indicated by the census records of both 1880 and 1900. It was here that they likely raised their family and built their home.
By 1910, Susan was residing in Gum Woods, Lonoke County, Arkansas, where she likely continued to live out her later years.
Tragically, Susan passed away from peritonitis on July 18, 1914, in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. She was laid to rest at Oakland and Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park in Little Rock, marking the end of her earthly journey.
