Richard Merrell Freeman, age 90 passed away on Jan. 17, 2012 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Dick, son of Ruth Merrell and F. Rider Freeman, was born in Crawfordsville, Ind. He married Joanne Spears on November 26, 1943. Dick is survived by his four children; Randy Freeman, of Santa Fe, NM, Mark Freeman, of Winter Park, Fla., Candy Vance, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Marcia Albrecht, of McFarland, Wis., eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Joanne, his wife of 67 years, and brother, William Freeman, Beloit, Wis., preceded him in death.
