Note: Swiss BIRTH records of this family are often a couple months later that what family says is actually Birthday. Karoline's Swiss record says March 44, 1864, probably the taufe (baptismal record),

Elgin Iowa was where Caroline married John Baumann who's son Walter married Hulda Miller (Mom's aunt). The first few years of married Hulda & Walter lived on the farm closest to our Gehring farm down the hill going toward Highway 18 on the (later called the Mueller place.)
