Dr. Amos Willard French was born on 14 July 1821 at Brighton, Monroe Co., New York, USA. [1]
He married Sarah Townsend Foster, daughter of Jonathan and Huldah Griffin Foster, on 27 May 1851 at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York. [1]
He was a dentist when he and Sarah appeared on the census of 2 June 1880 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois.[2] He and Sarah lived in 1899 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois.[1]
Amos died in 1909 and was buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois. His memorial has a photo of his headstone.[3]
