Jeremiah French, Sr. was a marine architect from northern New Jersey who succumbed to cholera three days before his son, also named Jeremiah.
Jeremiah was born in 1762. He passed away in 1834.
Burial in July, 1834 was at the Spring Grove Cemetery (Plot: Garden LN Section 84, Lot 91 space 2) in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.
Revolutionary War Veteran. A native of New Jersey he served as a soldier for the United States in the Revolutionary War. He emigrated to Butler County, Ohio where he settled in Morgan Township. He died from cholera during an epidemic in 1832-1834 when he was 72 years old. He was initially buried at a cemetery in Morgan Township and was later removed to Spring Grove Cemetery on August 8, 1868.
