Biography
Joseph Frink was born 3 Dec 1790 at Stonington, Connecticut. He was the sixth and final child of Daniel Frink (1752-) and Elizabeth Davis.
Joseph Frink was a soldier in the War of 1812.
He married first, 31 Oct 1822 at Stonington, Connecticut, Hannah T. (Breed; 1795-1827) [1]. They had 2 children:
- Hannah E. (Frink; abt.1824-); married Thomas Horace Baldwin
- Joseph Frink Jr. (abt.1827-)
Joseph Frink married second, during or after 1827 in New London County, Connecticut, Lucy (Billings) Coates (1798-1866), widow of Asher Coates. They had at least one, perhaps two children:
- Samuel E. Frink (1838 - 1842)
- Mary L. (Frink; abt.1840-1900); married Hosmer A. Brown.
This second family group of Joseph Frink was enumerated in 1850 and 1860 U.S. census records of Stonington, Connecticut [2],[3].
In 1870, Joseph Frink (widowed) was counted in the household of Dr. William A. Babcock, at Onarga, Illinois [4]. Dr. Babcock was an extended "son-in-law" by way of the first marriage of Joseph's second wife. He was the husband of Harriet Coates, who was a daughter of Asher Coates. This is where Joseph Frink died, 14 Nov 1871.
His grave is in Wheeler Cemetery #62, North Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, USA [5],[6].
